At the foot of the Cospillot slope, Le Strato stands like a luxurious family residence in the midst of Courchevel 1850. Owned by the Boix-Vives family, this insider address redefines with excellence the codes of luxury hotels: comfort, privacy, tradition, modernity.
From the Standard Room (28 sq.m) to the Luxury Duplex Suite (100 sq.m) and Timeless Chalet (140 sq.m), the 25 Rooms and Suites all benefit from a balcony or terrace offering idyllic views of the resort’s slopes and mountains, including the iconic Dent du Villard (alt. 2,285 m). These soft cocoons bathed in natural light are delightful getaways at all times of day.
Inside, the decor is modern, warm and refined, designed to the very last detail by Les Héritiers who have personalized the rooms to offer subtle differences. Selected for its warmth, wood is omnipresent, though revisited in shades of grey and beige. Delicate tones which blend harmoniously with touches of gold. Here, the architects’ signature reinterprets French elegance in a finely tuned mixture of genres and styles. ‘‘We are here to create an atmosphere, the joy of living, but above all to ensure cosiness. That’s what guests are looking for,’’ explains Pierre Dubois, one of the founders along with Aimé Cécile. All while respecting unostentatious luxury, dear to Christine Boix-Vives ‘‘who was deeply moved when discovering the first rooms 16 years ago’’.
High-end furnishings and bed linen, a walk-in closet, a desk with a vanity, mini-bar, safe, bathroom with a tub, wet-room shower and double handbasin… All the comfort of a 5-star hotel and more, with discreet integration of high technologies. Bathroom mirrors hide connected TV screens, the ceiling an audio system with Bluetooth connection, and switches to dim the light. This discerning choice of materials and equipment creates an ultra-refined atmosphere. A contemporary family residence of discreet luxury where one feels at home… if not more!
