Victor Sagot : A career fueled by passion

Victor Sagot’s career took a decisive turn the day he first met Chef Thomas Prod’homme in a palace hotel in Courchevel.

Today, the Picardy native is embarking on his eighth season alongside the Chef at Le Strato. Hired as a commis, he has climbed the ranks, season after season. He successively held the positions of demi-chef de partie, chef de partie, and sous-chef, before being promoted this year to Second Chef. “With Thomas, a single glance or a few words are enough for us to understand each other,” he says. His loyalty to Le Strato comes from that bond, as well as the hotel’s family spirit and the trust shown by the management. If there’s one moment he’ll never forget, it’s the day they earned their second Michelin star. “That was Thomas’s main goal. As for me, I’d promised myself I wouldn’t leave until we’d got that second star.” With that achieved, Victor is now looking to the future, either to running a prestigious establishment or opening his own restaurant.
