A sleigh ride in the heart of unspoilt nature is always a special moment. And if you are so inclined, you can even learn how to drive the team of dogs and feel what it’s like to be a true musher. Enchantement for both adults and children.
Courchevel built its first ski jump in the 1940s in the same place as today’s 120 metre Olympic jump built for the Albertville Olympic Games of 1992. Accompanied by a ski instructor, try out the 10 and 25 metre jumps. A unique experience.
Each summer, the Vanoise National Park hosts the Hoka Xtrail Courchevel organised by Courchevel Sports Outdoor. Consisting of six races of which three are ultra-endurance (44, 55 and 66 kilometres), this is the ideal opportunity to train for the famous Mont-Blanc Ultra Trail.
Courchevel offers numerous snowshoe trails for all levels. An opportunity to discover the remotest areas of the resort and observe wild animals, following in their tracks. And why not enjoy a real Savoy meal in an authentic refuge. A fantastic breath of pure mountain air!
Reaching the top of the Col de la Loze (2,304 metres of altitude) is a challenge to be faced by any experienced cyclist. Linking the resorts of Courchevel and Méribel, this high-level cycle itinerary, opened in spring 2019, is part of the future “Via 3 Vallées”. Dare you do it?
Take to the skies on board a helicopter taking off from the Courchevel altiport and discover the 3 Valleys, the largest ski domain in the world, from a different angle. Fill your eyes with spectacular landscapes throughout your flight. Absolutely magical.
Eclipse is the new black slope in Courchevel and will be the stage of the World Ski Championships Courchevel Méribel 2023. With its 970 metres of descent, it is one of the most challenging slopes of the ski domain. Make sure you give it a try this winter!
Each winter, the village of Courchevel La Tania organises several dates for its “mulled wine on high”, an original (and free) activity which consists of, as its name suggests, enjoying a hot drink around a table suspended in the trees. Ideal after a day’s skiing with friends!
For over ten years, Courchevel, in its role as an open-air museum, has been exhibiting monumental works of art both in the centre of the resort and on the slopes. The artist Richard Orlinski and animal sculptor Michel Bassompierre are among those on this year’s programme of Art au Sommet.
With its crystal clear waters, the Lac Bleu is one of the legendary spots of Courchevel. To get there, a 7.6 km hiking trail of medium difficulty with no gradient (approx. 2h30) will take you to this haven of tranquillity. You can return to the resort with the Verdrons cable car.
