At the age of 8, Julien Maltrait already knew he wanted to be a cook. After several jobs in luxury hotels in France and abroad, notably on board the Orient Express, he met the chef Thomas Prod’homme in Courchevel in the kitchens of a 5-star hotel. A friendship was born between the two men who have now been working together at the Baumanière 1850 since the 2018-2019 season.
After law studies, Hédia Marques-Ribeiro worked in several fields before finding her direction in life. Her life changed when she replaced a former colleague as chambermaid in Courchevel. Following this, Hédia became housekeeper for several private individuals before being offered the job as Manager of the 2 Chalets in 2018. A job she wouldn’t change for anything in the world.
Isam Maerof grew up in Italy where he discovered his predilection for luxury during his first professional experiences; but it was in France that he decided to pursue his career. After a season at Baumanière in Les Baux-de-Provence, Isam joined the team of Le Strato in the winter 2018 as head waiter. Today, he is the Maître d’ at the young age of 26.
Nicolas Da Silva has been in his profession for 10 years out of love for the mountains. For the fourth consecutive season, he is in charge of the Ski Room, which he regards as the best starting point for skiers in the resort. As official representative of the Bernard Orcel brand, he and his team propose a complete and customised service to make your ski break the best ever.
